How you Came to SPARKLE! - LMCB # 121 (12x12 Layout)

Happy New Year Everyone!  I took a "Holiday Break" from crafting but am now back at it!!  I hope you all had wonderful Holidays!  Now that I am back... today is the FIRST challenge for 2013 over at

The Theme is...

"INSPIRED BY A BOOK"
(Be inspired by a favorite Title, Author, Quote or Storyline.)

I chose the Title of a Book called "How I came to Sparkle Again" by Kaya McLaren for my inspiration.
How I Came to Sparkle Again
I changed the Title a bit to accommodate the meaning behind my layout.  This just happens to be one of my best friend's Sister-In Law that is the Author.  Check it out!  I haven't read any of her 3 books yet, but they are on my list!!  Heard they are fantastic!!

Here is a close-up of the Stars in the background and on the sides and the journaling.

To give you a brief background of my layout, our Daughter tried out for a Select soccer team this year and made it.  The youngest, smallest, possibly other bitter parents/players (Yes it happens)... were all up against our little SOCCER GEM!!  This layout highlights how our daughter never got down with the loss of a game and just kept playing her best and finally proved herself into starting and playing an entire game and doing very well!!  The Coach loves her and wants her back next year.

I am also entering my layout with:
Use STARS on your layout!!

I hope you all can join us this week and show us what favorite BOOK inspires you to create a layout.
Link up with us at Lasting Memories by Saturday 1/12/13!!

DDC #15 "Celebrate Dad" - Soccer Coach Layout

And a Good Morning Monday to all of you!!  Today, I am bringing you the newest challenge starting over at Digi Darla's.  This is just my 2nd post participating with their Design Team... and I tell ya... if you are a card maker, scrapbooker or just about anything paper crafter... you will surely be inspired by the Ladies and their creations over there!  You need to check out when given the chance.  If you are new to digis, (ME TOO!!)...  I have found just how differently they can be used and how versatile they are!  So excited that I get to create with these images.
So on that note... we are "Celebrating Dad" this week!!  I have a Scrapbook Layout to share that I did of just this last Spring Soccer Season for our son.  It was his 3rd season playing soccer and the BONUS... Daddy decided to Coach!  Oh what fun and patience that was all summed up into a little ball!!!  I even got to help!  And he graciously accepted my opinions!  Ha!!  :-)
Thee Image I used are  Digi Darla's Soccer Ball Image.  I colored one blue and one black.  Just to be different.  I then cut them out and popped them up for some dimension.

Again...this week, we are challenging you to...
