Welcome to the 9th week of JustRite Stampers’ Wednesday feature, 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hops! Every Wednesday up until Thanksgiving some of your favorite designers will be joining some of the JustRite design team for a series of Christmas blog hops, showcasing JustRite’s entire Christmas Collection of stamps! This week, the designers joining the JustRite design team is the Just Us Girls (JUGS) challenge blog design team!

For the month of November, we thought we would switch gears a little and throw in some holiday gift ideas using your JustRite stamps, so be watching for those, too, on November’s hops! And in celebration of JustRite’s 9th and 10th weeks of Christmas Blog Hops, they have a huge surprise for you -- take 25% off
All JustRite Original Christmas Stamps now through November 15, with free shipping within the U.S. -- Don't forget to tell Santa!!

We were thrilled when Pam Imholz broke the news that the JUGs DT was going to participate in this hop! I love JustRite stamps...they are so many pretty designs, I had a difficult time choosing one. But in the end, I settled on this Backyard Birds set. It's not part of the Christmas Collection, but it did have a pretty cardinal in a winter setting.
I just love this card! I didn't intend for the main image to take on the look of an ornament. It just evolved into it as I was finishing it, and I'm so glad it did! The image is colored with copic markers and when I was finished, the background was begging to be shaded in. I had to cut a mask for the bird and the ribbon around the image, then it was shaded in with Baja Breeze ink. I cut and embossed it with a nestie and that's when it took on the look of an ornament. So I ran some ribbon through the holes and tied a bow on top. The paper is from Basic Grey's new Jovial paper pad. I LOVE red, black and cream! So classic! I added Liquid Applique to the snow on the branch and Star Dust stickles to everything else (I love sparkle too!). The sketch is an old one from Sweet Sunday Sketches.I decided that I'm giving this to my mom for Christmas, so I did some extra special decorating on the inside as well. The border is from the Christmas Nested Frames & Occasions set and the sentiment is from the Christmas Nested Sentiments set.

Please visit these designers’ blogs to see what fabulous JustRite Christmas inspiration they have for you on the hop today!

Just Us Girls - Technique Challenge

Happy Saturday everyone! This week the Just Us Girls team has a technique challenge for you and something special to give away as well. Andrea chose the cracked glass technique for all of us to try.We are also being sponsored once again by JustRite Stampers. They have been very generous to the JUGs DT this year! We are so happy about that! We are all sharing Christmas/Holiday images on our cards. I chose Vintage Christmas for my main image and Christmas Nested Frames for my sentiment. I love the varied vintage images in this set. This snowman was colored with copic markers, then I followed the instructions on SCS for the cracked glass technique to create this look. Really cool technique. It is a technique I've done before, but many of the JUGs DT mentioned that they had never done it and enjoyed the challenge. Here's a closeup of the image so you can see the cracks that I created. Now about that giveaway I mentioned. JustRite is offering up some amazing products for one randomly drawn winner. Here's what they are giving away:

2 JustRite Christmas Collection stamp sets of choice
2 JustRite coordinating stampers/mounts
5 Copic Sketch markers of choice, from JustRite’s offering
2 Memento full-sized ink pads of choice

Makes you want to enter, right? And you can't win if you don't play! So stop by the JUGs blog to enter your creation and then stop by the personal blogs of the JUGs DT to read about their cards and leave some love! Thanks for stopping by!

Just Us Girls - Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone! Today Just Us Girls has a fab sketch challenge for you and a FAB sponsor! First up, here's the sketch from our hostess Pam.Next, our sponsor this week is JustRite Stampers! The JUGs DT has used their stamps for our challenge today! I used a set called Stitched with Love. I fell in love with that set when I saw it!(I don't know what's going on with my camera lately...the pictures are coming out bad! Time for a new one, I guess!) I decided to make this a baby girl card since my cousin, who lives in California, just had a baby girl. This is off in the mail already! I stamped the image twice, punched out the center with I think a 2 3/4" punch then layered it onto the other piece with dimensionals. I colored it with green and pink copics. The dp is from Hobby Lobby and the ribbon is from SU. I used the Bow Easy to make my bow, and a Martha Stewart punch for the scalloped border. I added the buttons because, well....I had to because of the sentiment! Love how easily this went together!

JustRite is a very generous sponsor! They are giving away some nice prizes! First, we will have a random winner for all participants. One person will win TWO brand new square Christmas sets with a square stamper and the new Idea Book! WOW! We also have another contest going on. If you have JustRite stamps and use them for our challenge, you will be entered in a random drawing to win the Breath of Spring set and oval wood stamper! So you could possibly have 2 chances to win! Can't beat that!

Stop by the JUGs blog to get more details and link up your card. The DT has some great inspiration for you too! Don't forget to stop by their personal blogs and leave some love! They'd really appreciate that! I'd also like to welcome Debbie Marcinkiewicz as our July featured designer. Welcome Debbie!

Thanks for stopping in today. Enjoy your 4th of July holiday weekend if you are in the States!
