August Skrappy Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

 

  Good morning krafty friends!

It's August and that means it's time for a brand new
SKRAPPY CHALLENGE

with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

 The theme of course is ANYTHING BUT A CARD!

Include some Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps products on your project and make sure it's a new creation!  As soon as we have at least five people playing along, we'll be giving away a $10 gift voucher to the krafty shop as the monthly prize!  

I created a tag featuring our August Stamp of the Month, Thankful Pumpkin. With any single order of $75 or more on the KKS site during August, you will receive this stamp for free (while supplies last)! I stamped the pumpkin in Totally Taupe ink on Neenah cardstock and coloured it with Copics. The sentiment was stamped in Wicked Black, and I added a few Krafty Dots to finish it off. 

You have until Monday, September 6th to enter, and you can submit as many new creations as you like for more chances to WIN!  Also be sure to share your designs on the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps' Krafty Friends facebook page because we love to see your stuff!

Kicking off the August 2020 Sneak Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

The August Krafty Peeks begin today and you're not going to believe the fabulous goodies we have in store for you this month! As you may know our August release is always focused on Fall and Halloween!! 

We are kicking things off with the perfect FALL stamp from artist Neda Sadreddin and it's called...

IT'S TURKEY DAY!!

Check out these adorable pilgrims and the super fun turkey!! Won't these just make the cutest Thanksgiving cards! This set also includes 5 awesome sentiments and 2 accessory stamps!

As you hop around the Krafty Team's blogs today you will see the IT'S TURKEY DAY! stamp set in action in combination with our all of our other awesome new AUGUST Kraftin' Kimmie products.

You will spot our newest addition to the Krafty Kolours Hybrid Ink rainbow!  It's a vibrant new orange named

As always it will be available in full sized ink pads, mini cubes and ink refills!

You'll get to see all of our brand new goodies in action over the next few days of August Krafty Peeks and everything will be released at our LIVE Online Release Party in the Krafty Friends facebook group on Saturday, August 15th at 2 pm EST.

I stamped all three main images on Neenah cardstock in our Wicked Black ink and coloured everything but the clothing in Copics. I paper-pieced the clothing with the design paper and added some additional shading to the pieces with copics. After fussy cutting the images, I adhered the pilgrims to the design paper and added a bit of grass with copics. I stamped two of the sentiments in Wicked Black ink. Taking inspiration from the lower sentiment, I attached the turkey with a "wobble" to create a moving component on the the card. Honestly, these wobbles might be my new favourite thing!

Kraftin' Kimmie September Sneak Peeks: Round 2!!

LOL..is there a limit on number of blog posts you're allowed to have in one day??? It's been a busy morning here on my blog, as I had to have three posts go live at different times. Thank goodness Blogger allows us to schedule our posts!

As mentioned, this is my third post for today, and it is for the upcoming September release at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps on this Sunday!! As always, Kimmie has a great lineup of brand new stamps and I know you're going to love each and every one! Yesterday, I showed you a card featuring two of the new stamps by artist Steven Leary. Today, I have another cutie-patootie Miles the Mouse stamp to show you...introducing "Cornucopia Miles"!

Our little pal Miles certainly seems to love his food...just look at that belly! I stamped the image on Neenah cardstock and coloured him with Copic markers. I used a cross-hatching stroke to give a bit of texture to the cornucopia. The papers are from The Paper Loft. I love these patterns and thought I'd just go with a very clean and simple layout so as not to cover up those fabulous fall leaves. The paper edges were all sponged with Walnut Stain Distress Ink, and the little pearls are from the dollar store. Oh, and that great little "Happy Feasting!" sentiment is part of the brand new "Thankful Sentiments" set that will also be released this Sunday!

Copics: Miles: E50, E41, E42, E43, E47 Cornucopia: E50, E31, E33, E35, E37, E25, E59 Apples: R17, R59, YR31, YG00, YG11, YG28 Additional shading done with Conte crayons (after all colouring with Copics was complete...very important so that you do not ruin your marker nibs!)
