6 Days Left - Petite Petals & Decorative Label Punch

Hello everyone!

There are only 6 days left of the current catalogs!

This is such a bittersweet time.  I am so sad to see some of my favorite items retiring into the sunset, but at the same time, I am so very excited to share the new catalog, and all of it's goodness with you!

Here is a card I made with three stamp sets I love, that are retiring.  To make this card, I started with a Thick Whisper White cardstock base.  I stamped the skid mark stamp from Gorgeous Grunge (what will I do without this set?!?!) in Basic Black.  I stamped my Petite Petals flowers in Watermelon Wonder and punched them out.  I laid out my flowers where I wanted them, so I would know where I wanted to stamp my leaves.  The leaves are from Affectionately Yours, and are stamped in Mint Macaron.  Once the leaves were stamped I attached my flowers with dimensionals, and added rhinestones to the centers.  (The Rhinestones are discontinued, but do not fret! They have been reconfigured, and will be available in the new catalog.)  My greeting is also from Affectionately Yours, and was punched out with the Decorative Label Punch.  I am not sure how to accurately express the sadness I felt when I saw my coveted Hot Dog / Hamburger punch on the retiring list.  Surely, classes will never be the same.

As sad as it is for things to retire - this is a needed clearing, so that we can make way for new exciting things!

This fun card was made using some of the new products coming out in just 6 days!  The Colorful Seasons Product suite has things to offer to paper crafters of all types.  On this card you can see some of the images from the Colorful Seasons stamp set.  This card also shows the Color Theory Memories & More Card Pack.  I am so very excited about this new memory keeping system that Stampin' Up! is introducing.   The last new product featured on this card is the Crushed Curry 3/8" Mini Chevron Ribbon.  This new ribbon is so soft and pliable, and comes in three different colors.

Alright, that is all I have to share for today.  Come back tomorrow for another countdown post, full of sadness and joy all at the same time. :)

Hope you have a great day!

SSInk Inkspiration Challenge!

Hello Everyone!

Monday means it is time for another challenge over at Stylin' Stampin' Inkspiration!  Today we have a fun Inkspiration Challenge for you.  My daughter loved the inspiration photo so much that she wants to make it her background on her phone.

I just love this gorgeous winter scene!

Here is my card:

I did a lot of sponging to make my background.  I used Soft Sky and Smoky Slate for the ground.  The sun is Daffodil Delight and Delightful Dijon.  The sky is Soft Sky.  I used post-it notes to mask off a road.  I decided to leave the road white, and not put any color on it.

Then, to make the road stand out a bit more, I decided to cover the road, and some tree branches with the Clear Wink of Stella Pen.  I <3 of="" p="" stella="" wink="">

That is all I have for you today!

SSInk Friday Favorites - Favorite Dies

Hello everyone!  TGIF!  Do you have exciting plans for the weekend?  Today, a friend and I are headed up to Vancouver, Canada in preparation for Stampin' Up!'s Onstage Local event happening tomorrow.   Super excited to spend time with other demonstrators.  Stampin' Up! always puts on great events, and I know we'll have tons of fun.

Today over at SSInk, it is Friday Favorites!  We are all sharing our favorite dies today.  I chose to share the Paisley Framelit Dies.  I knew instantly when I saw them in the Holiday Catalog that I had to have them - first thing.

Here is my card:

I had fun cutting out multiples of each of the more detailed shapes in the framelits set.  Then I laid them all out on my copper foil sheet, and glued them down one by one.  Once I had finished adhering all of my shapes, I ran the whole piece through the big shot using the Petal Burst embossing folder.  I love embossing two layers together, because it makes them look as though they are just one layer.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
