Introducing Elf Grams!

Remember when you were in school and you could send a Candy Gram to a friend to show you were thinking of them?  Elf Grams are the same concept except you can surprise your friend or family member with a treat from a local baker.  Our “baker elves” have delicious handmade treats that you can order to make someone’s holiday a little brighter.  You can order the items for pickup or some can be delivered for an additional charge.  (Scroll down to see participants and details.)

This idea stemmed from the fact that this year has been particularly isolating and we haven't been able to see our friends very much.  My hope is to bring back some of that excitement of younger years when you got a surprise little treat from a friend and it made your whole day.  Holiday cheer is so needed right now so let's bring it to our friends and family!

Another reason I'm doing this idea is to help our local small businesses.  Small businesses are the heartbeat of our community and they need us more than ever.  Remember, when you are supporting a small business you are literally helping someone make their dreams come true.  Also, I'm only here to come up with the idea, get some people together, and help advertise it.  Each baker makes their own products, sets their own terms, and keeps 100% of their money.  This blog post is just a resource so you know how to contact them.  Click their links and you can Direct Message them on Instagram to order!

Happy Easter and Art Share/Blog Candy

Happy Easter friends!  I hope you all have a wonderful day filled with lots of fun!  We are going to a friend's house today for an Easter Egg hunt, games, and some dinner.  YAY!  Should be fun!  But we'll still be missing Daddy the whole time!

Here's a picture of Brady last weekend at his friend's birthday party.  They had an Easter Egg hunt for all the kids and Brady had SO much fun!  How cute is he with his little pink egg?  He picked all the girlie colored eggs even though I tried to tell him to pick blue and green one.  ;)

Art Share/Blog Candy (Just to let you know, I offered this on Facebook and no one followed directions and signed up.  If that happens again, I'm not doing these anymore!)

The first 5 people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice! For you! Could be a card I am really pleased with, an altered object or something else altogether! My choice! But this offer has some restrictions and limitations:

1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!

2. What I create will be made with you in mind, so you won't get something I already made unless I think it suits you to a T.

3. It'll be done sometime this year.

4. There is a catch - you must offer this same blog candy on your blog! Let me know you're in, then re-post this on your blog  and offer something you make - your choice - to the first 5 people who respond to your post. Add my name to the #1 slot on your list - I am your first participant. When you create your giveaway, you will become the first participant on the lists for the people who participate with you. Got it? :-)

Okay, so who wants to play??

1. Carole (FibreJunky)
2. Sara
3. Yael
4. Valerie
5. Ky

One Layout, Three Challenges

My girl Kristen just started a challenge on her blog.  It's a scrap book challenge that's also being inspired by an Etsy shop but it's not connect to our current EtsyInspired challenge, you can check it out HERE.  THIS is the piece I was inspired by.

I'm also using this for this week's Cafe Mojo challenge, to think spring.  For me, spring always reminds me of Easter and new beginnings.  So, this is Brady's first Easter.  How cute is he in his little bunny ears?  I love it!  And his shirt says "Chick Dig Me."  So true!

And last but not least, for the 2 Red Bananas challenge to make anything but a card.  I don't really make many other things, but I do the occasional layout.  All my stamps are from Unity Stamp Co.  Speaking on Unity, hop on over to the Unity forum today for Hip Hop Thursday!  It should be fun!

Ky's Scrap Challenge

My friend Ky is hosting a challenge on her blog.  This is her first week.  You can view all the challenge details including the PRIZE info HERE.
This is Brady's first Valentine's Day.  This was really really challenging for me since I had a picture of the heart shaped pizza and the cupcakes we made to celebrate.  I really didn't know what to do with them.  Also, part of Ky's challenge was to add something that you made for another purpose.  I choose to add the card I made Brady for that Valentine's Day.  This is WAY back in the day, so excuse the card.  I did adhere it so you can still read the message on it.  That's why I tucked the journalling a bit, so you could kind of tell.  The card was make with SU stamps.  And the journaling stamp is by Unity.

Have a good Sunday everyone!
