Our BVCG Sept 2025 Galleria is "Numbers". I was doodling trying to come up with an idea and started drawing balloon shapes... You can figure out the rest BIG Grin
On Canson XL Pen &Ink Paper using Twinkles H2º brand of watercolors for the balloon shaped numbers adding white gel pen highlights. Funky lettering with a shadow using a Zig Writer.

Crown Book 2- Number Rhymes

Our challenge for our December meeting will be the Crown Book #15 from Hedi Kyle's "Art Of The Fold" book. Last time I did this book was in July of 2021. This one is a bit smaller.
Size: 2.5"w x 4.5"h
I raided my geli print paper (done on Columbia Mills LBS End paper) and used both sides to create this booklet. Since I recently did a floral alphabet book I thought a numbers Kids rhyme booklet was needed...

I'm using one of my favorite funky lettering styles for the text (which I don't know the name of...) done with a Zig Writer.

I found the numbers (a font on my computer) just done in a black outline too pale so added a white inner line using Bleed Proof white and pointed nib. I find they really pop now.

Funky - 1950's Numbers

One of my friends had used a few of these numbers for an art project and I really liked them... So used my imagination to create the rest of the set... I love the results whether they're right or wrong...
