Size: 4.5" sq
I pulled out some iridescent paper from my stash...
Cut 2 pieces 4.25"sq Folded in half diagonally, then the longest side folded in half and again the longest side folded in half. While everything is still folded (The open unfolded side to the right and closed folded section at the top), cut a triangular wedge from the open side (no folds) - for mine it was about 1/2" at the top folded area to the point of the triangle. Then cut 2 slits vertically about 3/8" apart to almost touching the folded top edge.
Glue the 2nd strip point to the center with a very small dot of glue. Do the other 3 strips.
Fold. cut and glue the 2nd piece of paper the same way. Place both pieces on top of each other (back to back) rotating one about 45ΒΊ so the points lay in the center of the one below. Glue together at the center. Add a gem on both sides.

Crafty Dozen - Xmas Stars
I decided to make these star shapes for my Crafty Dozen friends...
They're made fro equilateral triangles. Mine have 8.5"sides.Bring the point to the mid point of the side opposite it. Repeat with the next point and the 3rd point should nest within the fold lines created. My triangles are 3.6" from point to fold line. Fold point down by 2.4" leaving 1.2" between the 1st and 2nd fold lines. Repeat with other 2 triangles. Fold with one edge under the next edge. Punch a hole, add a brad and string.
Mine were made from Columbia Mills End paper and geli printed with acrylic paints.
Inside the star my message.

Geli Print Star Ornaments
size: 6"w x 6"h
On Heather Martinez's latest video with Carol DuBosch, Carol created these type of stars with a single piece of paper folding it at each corner. Heather made some with individual pieces of paper. I tried it Carol's way but didn't really like the results, so did it Heather's way... much better. I like the points I get at the tips.
I used geli print scraps from my stash of odds and ends. I LOVE the multi colored one...
See below for diagram for "How To"
Finished size 6"w:
Cut strips approx 7"w x 1" h. Fold strip in half and burnish well. Adhere 1 strip into another, placing strip on diagram and trim the end to create the point, put a dab of glue on one side. Add your next strip, trim the end and make sure your strip is alternating under/over your strips. (Look at finished stars above). Continue placing strips, trimming end and ensuring you're either going under or over with the strip. Glue all the points on the backside. Add a string if wanted... some brads or other decorative elements. Have fun.
