These are just a few of the reasons I am a mom - my mom who taught me everything about how to love a child and my daughter Laura. I am having a wonderful Mother's Day weekend thanks to all the people in my family, including my near and dear menfolk that were too busy to pose for a picture. Mark sent Laura and me on a wonderful spa adventure on Friday and Andrew is cooking the most awesome day of treats for me today - blueberry pancakes and pomegranate cocktails this morning and scallops with risotto and chocolate bread pudding tonight.
I'm always hearing things about how being a mom is the hardest job in the world that has no real training manual to guide one along but the one thing I never hear is about how the rewards for this job are phenomenal. I am so lucky to have two great kids that think their mom is somewhat cool but more importantly show me everyday how much they love me! I love them more than anything and want to thank them everyday for making me their mom!
It's all about the movie today. I'm wearing my new Bitten SJP tee shirt and am off to see the movie with Laura. Man oh man have I missed Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha. Can't wait to reconnect with them and see how life has changed. Had a Cosmo last night to get in the mood and today it's all about the rhinestones on the sandals and my new purse!
