Wishing for Spring

Well, the weekend is nearly over, and we'll soon be saying goodbye to February...the longest-shortest month of the year.  That also means that I'll have to return home to the bitter cold and snow.  Hopefully winter doesn't last too much longer, as I'm sure everyone is impatient for spring.

My card roday uses an older stamp from Stämpelkällan, done with water colours and edged with distress ink.  Such a pretty image, with delightful flowers to remind us of days to come.  Ohhhh..can hardly wait!

Let there be Red...

This may be Valentine's Day weekend, but I've gone with red and a Christmas card.  A relatively simple card, using a Spellbinder's die to first cut the DP, then some shiny red card stock, and finally the stamped image, all in graduated sizing.    Although it is a little difficult to see, I have heat embossed the stamp with the WOW Sparkling Embossing Powder, for a nice festive look.  Otherwise, theonly embellishments are some snowflake and border peel-offs.  It will fit nicely into an envelope for Christmas mailing!

Winter is still in full force, back on the home front, and i am not missing it one little bit!  I'm sure hoping for changes before month-end when I have to return.  Take care everyone, and stay safe and warm.

Today's Forcast is.......

Another entry for my travel journal, and all those decisions to be made.  Today I've gone with Mystic Mabel from Dr Digi's House of Stamps, just to remind myself how much easier it is now with the Internet.  So much easier to travel with our laptops and phones, than it was to carry around that crystal ball!

Well,I finished my image up before i left home, and made up the page after I arrived.  Super simple, with some washi tape, black marker, and a few cut outs from a paper pad.  However, there had to be some technical difficulties, of course!  First, i forgot to bring my watermark, but my daughter helped me out and sent one along.  Secondly, how on earth do you change the photo resolution when using an iPad?  No way I could upload the photo at 500+ MB.  Had to have some help on this one too...thanks John.

I do hope winter is not being too hard on you, and I'm sure hoping it will be over before I have to return home!  What a dreamer.....

Young Love

Well, the weather at home is frightful (Canada), but here in Florida it is so delightful.  What can I say....so glad I am looking at sunshine rather than all that snow.  I semi-posted a few cards, to stay in touch while away.  Let's see how that goes.

Today's card uses a stamp from Sarah Kay, coloured with watercolours.  Ideal for Valentine's Day, which is just around the corner.  Cut and matted with Spellbinders dies, with some flowers and pretty pastel colours to remind us that spring will be here one day.....hopefully sooner rather than later.

Hope you are all keeping well and staying warm and cozy.  I will try to send some sunshine your way!
