Digi Choosday - Christmas Celebrations

It's time for a new challenge at Digi Choosday and the theme this time is Christmas Celebrations.

The first thing I thought was you can't have a celebration without inviting some people over and in order to do that, you are going to need invitations. Well, we have got you covered! These were so quick and easy to make. I made one for a Tree Trimming party and one for a Cookie Exchange - both popular parties this time of the year.

I used papers from the Festive Hollybobs Collection for both and then inserted a Text Box right on top, added my text and popped in my digi. For the Tree Trimming invite I used Santa (he's also available in the Festive Hollybob Collection colored and uncolored) and for the the Cookie Exchange I used Chef from the Work and Play 7 Collection (also available colored and uncolored). After I printed them, I colored them with my copics.

I then trimmed them down and mounted them onto cardstock and they are ready to be popped into the mail. These are easily mass produced, especially if you use the precolored images available in the collections.

Home Sweet Home

You may remember a card I did a while back called the Flower Pot Card which was all the rage. You can see it in an earlier post HERE. This is a new take on that card which is perfect for someone moving into a new house. A gift card fits nicely on the insert with a removeable glue dot. This is also ideal as an invitation for a housewarming or other event.

It's a Girl

My sister is having a little girl next month and her shower was this weekend. She is the ultimate planner so she had to know what she is having and she and her husband will be blessed with a baby girl. This is the card I made from the template I found on Lauren Meader's site. The Martha Stewart embossed button punch is one of those I purchased before I knew what I would use it for, but see....it came in handy! This card would also make a great shower invitation and they are really very simple to make. I used the cuttlebug to emboss the front and added some ribbon on the sleeves. The bow is another Martha punch (I'm joining a 12 step program).

Wedding Shower Invites

One of my ladies asked if I would come up with sample wedding shower invites and hold a private class for her and a friend. These are the samples I came up with. She recently ordered the Cupcake Sprinkles stamp set so I made the Joy Fold card and taught her how to use Liquid Applique and some sprinkles for a fun effect. We also made the Box in a Bag (or Bag in a Box) as a possible favor.

Spooky Party

These are the invitations I made for my daughter's annual Halloween party. The stamp set is Happy Haunting (retired) from CTMH.

The Cheetah Girls are Coming!

If you have, or know, any little girls under the age of 10, you will know who and what the Cheetah Girls are about. (Okay, I admit it. I am way over 10 and even I am looking forward to this movie.) I created these invitations for my daughter's birthday party. She is having a few girls over to watch the premiere of the Cheetah Girls One World movie. I mentioned to my DH that I wanted to include addmission tickets in the invitation and he came up with these wonderful "concert" tickets which were a big hit with the girls. Special thanks to my friend and mentor, Beth, who took these pics.

I used the "Slumber Party" stamp set from CTMH as well as one from Inkadinkadoo called "Cattitude".
