With Deepest Sympathy

Good morning everyone.  Welcome to Day 2 of JustRite Papercraft's November release.  Today's set is called Caring Thoughts Sentiments - a perfect set for making the dreaded sympathy cards which are always so difficult to make.

My card base begins with the Sculpted Leaves Background stamped in brown.  Next I used the JustRite Papercraft Vintage Labels 7 to cut and mat the center using various patterned papers.  The sentiment is part of the Caring Thoughts Sentiments set.  To finish off the card I added some coordinating Prima flowers.

Heartfelt Sympathies

Good morning everyone.  Today is the final day of JustRite Papercraft's August release.  Today's set is called Sympathy Vintage Labels Eight and Nine.  This set has some beautiful sentiments which makes creating sympathy cards a bit easier.

My card base starts will several different layers and paper patterns.  I really like the pinks and greens together on this card.  Next I diecut the heart using Spellbinders Lace Hearts and Classic Hearts staying with the same pink and green theme.

The sentiment is included in Sympathy Vintage Labels Eight and Nine.  The little heart is diecut using Spellbinders Classic Hearts and Scallop Hearts.

The corner pieces are also included in Sympathy Vintage Labels Eight and Nine stamped onto the coordinating SVG cut file and colored using Copic markers.

Good morning everyone - welcome to the first day of JustRite Papercraft's August release.  Today's sets are Hope and Love Vintage Labels Eight and Nine and Cornflower Damask Background.

I began by stamping the Cornflower Damask background with Versamark embossing ink, adding clear embossing powder and heat embossing it.  Next I used the baby wipe technique along with Faber Castel Gelatos and randomly added blues and greens.

The sentiment is included in Hope and Love Vintage Labels Eight and Nine and diecut using JustRite Papercraft's Vintage Labels Seven.  The blue mat is diecut using JustRite Papercraft's Vintage Labels Eight.

Good morning everyone.  Today I have a get well/sympathy card to share.  These are the type of cards that are difficult to create simply because of the reason behind needing one.  I try to keep these type of cards as simple as possible yet elegant to try and send some comfort to the recipient.

My card base is created using Spellbinders Timeless Rectangles die.  I added some pretty purple rhinestones randomly around the outer edges to add extra color.

I placed a pretty purple 3 looped bow onto the card base.  The beautiful sentiment is from JustRite Get Well Labels Twenty, stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and diecut with Spellbinders Classic Ovals.  The sentiment is matted onto purple cardstock diecut with Spellbinders Floral Ovals.

I'm hope that the recipient of this card can find some comfort with this card in a time of sorrow.

My card uses 3 different JustRite stamp sets - Thinking Of You, Vintage Oval Labels, and Hugs To You. 

The sentiment is from "Thinking Of You", stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and diecut with Spellbinders Petite Ovals.  The frame is from "Vintage Oval Labels", stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and diecut with Spellbinders Labels 13  which is available to purchase on the JustRite site (this set was designed to work perfectly with Labels 13). 

The 3rd set that I used is "Hugs To You" but I didn't use it as a frame.  I stamped the frame onto green paper, handcut the sections out, then applied them to the top edge and bottom edge of my card.  Doesn't that make a really nice embellishment.  Below is what the actual frame looks like.

Deepest Sympathy

Happy Friday everyone.  Today is another Friday challenge over at JustRite.  The challenge today is to create a sympathy card.  Sympathy cards are so very difficult to create because they are not for a happy occasion.  Ironically I needed a sympathy card yesterday.  A close family friend passed away last week and yesterday was the funeral.  It was a very nice service for a very nice lady. 

For my card I chose a sentiment from the new JustRite Sympathy Nested Sentiments set.  This set is wonderful because it has sentiments that say what needs to be said in a special way.  My sentiment is stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and diecut with Spellbinders Labels Trio.  The decorative element in the upper righthand corner was created with the Spellbinders Symbology 1 die.

Heart and Soul

Good Morning everyone.  Today I have this delicate Sympathy card to share with you.  Sympathy cards are so difficult to create but with this great "Thinking of You" set by JustRite, these cards are a bit easier to make.

I love the look of lots and lots of layers.  This card shows that.  My sentiment is stamped onto ivory cardstock with watermark ink, heat embossed with gold embossing powder and diecut with Spellbinders Labels 4.  The bottom two mats are also cut with Labels 4.  The bottom brown layer on the card was embossed using Cuttlebug Textile embossing folder.

Peace and Comfort

Good morning everyone. Today I have a simple Sympathy card to share. Sympathy cards are very difficult for me to create because I like bright and cheery colors. They are also difficult to create because of the sadness of the event that they symbolize.

JustRite has a really nice set called "Thinking of You" borders & centers which made this card a bit easier to make. These designer centers help put thoughts into words when words are hard to say.

I stamped the center & border onto ivory cardstock, colored the leaves with a Copic marker, and diecut it with Spellbinders Oval Nestabilities.
