Butterflies in Orchid....

Three more days left of the Hop to Stop Domestic violence at Becca's Blog, Damsel of Distress.  I was at a Stampin'up night and I took the opportunity to use the new floral die to cut a piece of white cardstock, didn't have a plan for it but as it was sitting on my desk  I decided it would look fabulous over purple and a new card design was born for the Hop to Stop. I layered the die cut over some sparkly orchid cardstock.

The butterflies are from Impression Obsession, the sentiment is from Stampin'up along with the oval punches, I added a few pearls to each of the butterflies and a few dotted around the background.

Close up of the sparkle.

Finished inside.

I am adding this to:

Hello

I started this card several weeks ago for a friend's birthday but it wasn't going well at all and I was in a time crunch so went with plan 2 and since my flowers were purple I made it a quest to finish it for the Hop To Stop (domestic violence) at Damsel of Distress Blog.

The basket is a wood mount stamp it includes the handles, I can't remember who it belongs to as it is still at the cottage with a few odd bits of supplies. The pansies are from a PSX stamp which I dismantles a bit to fit the project. Hello is a Cuttle bug die (ages old)

The sentiment is from Impression Obsession

I'm entering this in the Hop to Stop

Thanks for stopping by today and head over to the Damsel of Distress blog and check out all the fabulous cards. There are prizes when you enter and you still have until October 30th to enter.

Thinking Of You in Purple

I'm joining in the Hop to Stop raising awareness to Domestic Violence. This is the third year for the hop and I feel honoured to make a card I hope you will join the hop as well.

You see, purple is the color of National Domestic Violence Awareness month.
1 in 3 women will experience domestic violence over the course of their lifetimes.
Let that sink in - 33% of all the women you meet.

Women between the ages of 15 and 44 are more likely to be injured or die as a result of domestic violence, than through rapes, muggings and car accidents combined.

And women aren't the only people who are affected! Women, men, transgender - gender doesn't matter. Domestic violence is something that exists regardless of gender, socioeconomic status, religion, education level, etc.

This image is one I was given and I don`t know what company it was from.  Since I looked at the butterfly folder and left it home I used an Darice autumn leaves folder  as I wanted some texture. The oval and rectangle  were cut with Elizabeth Craft Designs.

The sentiment is from Impression Obsession.

Please join me at the Hop to Stop with your purple cards.

Thanks for stopping by to see what`s on my creating table to day.

And then there was MORE PURPLE ~~~~ join the Hop To Stop

Shopping Our Stash blog post is HERE.
Clear it Out Tuesday blog post is HERE.

I have already entered one card but I knew I wanted to do more, this morning Becca announced only three more cards and they have reach 200 so here one of them is......

This card was made with not one but two UFOs (unfinished objects) first the image, printed but not coloured and been in my stash for about a year or maybe more, it is from Digi Darla which sadly has closed, next the lacy rectangle keeps popping up in my ufo stash so now it is used, it was cut on stardream cardstock and didn't work for an earlier project.

Close up of the image.

Since this could be used for a get well, a thinking of you or Birthday, the inside is not stamped.

There is still one day left to join the Hop To Stop (domestic violence) I hope you will join or go see all the wonderful cards and read some stories they are inspiring. Here is the link to Becca's Blog.

Thanks for checking my blog today.
