Now, dragons may be creatures of fantasy....but we all know that BBQ is real! So while we patiently await summer's pleasures, how about a card to light up someone's day. This image is sure to do the trick, and can be found here....at Dr Digi's House of Stamps. If only cooking could be that easy!
I've coloured with copics today, inking around the edges with DI after cutting out the image with the Spellbinders Marvelous Squares die. A corner punch for a little added interest, and a couple of sentiments....makes for a fun card, sure to bring a smile. Kind of makes me hungry too....
Thanks for stopping by.
Some challenges for my card:
For cat lovers everywhere...this one's for you. This wide eyed picture of innocence can be found here, at Dr Digi's House of Stamps, though I'm sure it's actually been up to plenty of mischief! And, for those of you that are allergic to cat hair, like myself....this one is hypoallergenic!
I found some papers in my stash that co-ordinated well with my colouring, using a MS punch to add some fancy edging. I kept looking, and found a few stamps I could use too! Once again, I've used the 'out of the box' technique to cut out the image with a Spellbinders die.
Thanks for stopping by...hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Some challenges for my card:
A nice easy card today... no colouring but lots of stamping. I've added some dimension by attaching the panel with foam tabs and also cutting out and attaching one of the hearts in this manner.
Stamps used:
My Favourite Things - Bo Ho Blossoms
Stampabilities - Valentine's Day
Stampendous - Foliate Quad Cube
Some fun challenges for my card:
Well, I had a play with water colours again, and the Bird Crazy stamp set from Tim Holtz. I was really surprised at how much fun these are to colour up. Now I know why they are so popular!
I really need to start planning my cards before I do my colouring though, as it probably takes me longer to find the right papers, than it does to colour the image. Here I have fussy cut the patterned dp to give a fancy edging, which shows up nicely against the black card stock.
Just to make sure those eyes get lots of attention....I've added glossy accents to make them pop!
The weekend is here and we still have no snow....I'm a happy camper! If this keeps up, the grass will be turning green. I'm hoping this weather lasts until spring....fingers crossed.

Fly like a bird....
That will be me....I'm running away to warmer climes for a week! Although the winter has been very mild, considering, this past week has reminded me that I really do live in Canada. The cold and the snow makes it difficult to move about, so I'm looking forward to some walking....which should do the hip some good....I hope!
Here's a Christmas card, using one of the Crazy Birds stamps from Tim Holtz, which I'm hoping will be a symbolic kiss goodbye to winter. Needless to say, I am really hoping for an early spring.
Once again, I've used water colours, a Spellbinders die and some DP from the Dovecraft 'Tis the Season collection. I was finally able to make use of this pretty bird paper.
A bit of faux stitching adds a bit of interest, and a colourful bow tops off the ornament. I tried to keep it really simple, but couldn't stop myself from adding that little bit of greenery. lol
With luck, we will soon be seeing some birds again....looking forward to that first robin!
Take care everyone and try to stay warm.

Bundle up...
Although I might have been (wishful) thinking it was spring, now we have a not too gentle reminder that it's only February. A nasty cold spell is settling in, which means staying inside.... only braving the cold if really necessary! So I thought a wintry Christmas card might be in order.
Here, I have used a much older Magnolia stamp along with some DP scraps from my stash. Those chubby little cheeks would have to be well covered with today's weather, and really it's much too cold for playing outside. Our schools actually keep the kids inside for recess when it is this cold.
I've used the Memory Box Frosty Border die (so appropriate) and their Precious Hearts die....because it's Valentine's! The image is coloured with water colours then cut and matted using Spellbinders dies. As you can see, I've made good use of some little extra Christmas stamps to dress up the white areas.
Thanks for stopping by again. Be sure to bundle up and try to stay warm.
